The cattery offers a sleeping are of 20 sq ft and an outdoor run of 24 sq ft. To assist with warmth retention, the corridor is divided into 3 sections. The corridor holds lighting tubes, heater bars and insulation above the ceiling. All perimeter walls are insulated.

 Access to the cat houses is from the corridor. The cat house doors are made of wood and 2 inch square wire mesh. There are two shelves in the cat house, one at right angles to the other. The top shelf is 12 inches wide & 51inches high and adjacent to a 2 foot square window that can either be left ajar or fully opened by dropping 180 degrees. The bottom shelf is 20 inches wide & 27inches high. There is also a low level light in each cat house.

Entry to the outdoor run is by a floor level cat flap. Once inside the run, the cats enjoy using the ramp that leads to a shelf 60 inches high, situated at the front of the run. A security passage runs across the entire frontage of the cattery. The front of each run and the security passage is made of wood and 2 inch square weld mesh. The runs look out to our back garden.The cattery looks out onto our garden and the cats are entertained by the constant arrival of birds that come to feed from our feeders. Our feline guests are frequently checked throughout the day, to ensure that they are eating and using their litter trays.
